i absolutely agree! there needs to be a voice for the voiceless! i do not think that what you wrote was insensitive at all. it's TRUTH.
in canada, US (and the rest of the world..... there are protected rainforests, protected national parks, protected endangered species, save the whales campaigns, save the trees rallies..... but what about babies?! babies should be saved too!
i have heard argument that babies are saved through abortion rather than being born into poverty, drug addiction, etc. those are excuses in my opinion, because there are other options out there, such as ADOPTION, or not having sex in the first place!
it is FACT that most abortion occurs for reason other than rape/incest. which means that most people abort out of convenience!
a human is defined as a "person". when a baby is in utero preparing for this world, this baby is a growing, living being! inside or outside the uterus. this is a BABY whether people want to get technical with names used like "embryo" or "fetus", this is still a HUMAN. a PERSON.
abortion is murder!

I agree: Andy is right.

The government is there to protect life. Local government/police do arrest those who murder or harm others. They are prosecuted and tried locally, sentenced under state laws (as was suggested above) and/or sentenced under federal law. Both and all government is supposed to protect life. Under the principle of subsidiarity, state govt should only do what local govt cannot, and the feds should do what the state and local govt cannot. That is the Constitutional design which assures liberty in our nation.

However, that has long ago been abandoned. We need to return to that principle, returning to the local and state govts what they can do on their own, and limiting the feds to only what state and local cannot do (like control the borders, national defense).
